ACT public school enrolments from preschool to year 12 open today for the 2025 school year. This includes the new high school in North Gungahlin – Canberra’s 92nd public school – open to residents of Taylor, Moncrieff and specific areas of Jacka for the 2025 school year starting year 7 and 8 in 2025.
If you apply by 7 June, you will get an offer from 29 July 2024 and can start planning for your child’s 2025 school year. Applications made after 7 June will receive an offer later this year.
“Enrolling in a new school is an important milestone in every child’s life, and being among the first students in a brand-new school community while it is being established is a particularly exciting opportunity,” Minister for Education and Youth Affairs Yvette Berry said.
“Every ACT public school is a great school, and there’s a guaranteed place for every child in their local school from kindergarten to year 12 to learn, grow and reach their potential.”
