Mornington Peninsula Shire has been made aware of a cyber security incident involving Oracle CMS who manage customer calls to the Shire outside of business hours.
An unauthorised third party has gained access to a portion of Oracle CMS data and published files online. Oracle CMS is working with government authorities and a cyber security expert to secure their systems and investigate the incident.
Mornington Peninsula Shire systems have not been compromised. The Shire has been advised by Oracle CMS that no customer information has been accessed. An independent investigation is underway to confirm this.
If any customer data has been found to have been accessed, customers will be contacted directly and provided with advice and guidance to reduce the risk of their information being misused.
