Slope Remediation Work – Esplanade, Warners Bay

Lake Macquarie City Council

Remediation and stabilisation work on The Esplanade, Warners Bay will begin on Monday 13 May and take up to six weeks to complete.

Working hours are 7pm to 5am, Sunday to Thursday nights, with site establishment and set down work 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm Saturdays. No work will be carried out on public holidays.

What will this mean for you?

You may notice:

  • Workers and vehicles, excavators, dump trucks, petrol generator, a cut saw, a wacker packer, hand tools and temporary site offices.
  • Traffic controllers and signage along The Esplanade around our work area. Access to residents properties will not be impacted.
  • One lane will be closed southbound around our work area during night work with 40km/h speed limit in place. There will be no traffic changes during day work.
  • Temporary loss of parking next to Warners Bay for our site compound. We will install small demountable buildings in the existing parking lot. Parking will be reinstated once our work is complete.
  • Pedestrians will be redirected towards the lake side of The Esplanade during our work.
  • Noise from machinery and equipment.

We are completing the work on behalf of Transport for NSW.

The NSW Government is funding slope remediation work in the area, following the 2022 natural disaster event impacted the safety and use of the area.
