Three men arrested after the recovery of three stolen vehicles in Melbourne’s east

Melbourne Divisional Response Unit have arrested three men after three stolen vehicles were followed across Melbourne’s eastern suburbs this afternoon.

The police Air Wing spotted a stolen orange Holden Commodore utility near Toorak Road, Toorak about 2.40pm.

The car was stolen from Ardeer on 28 April.

Patrolling police located the empty Holden utility near Lynch Street, Hawthorn about 3.15pm.

It’s alleged the driver was picked up by an associate in a second stolen vehicle, a white Holden Commodore station wagon.

Stop sticks were deployed at various locations, with police locating the second stolen vehicle and arresting a man in Clendon Court, Toorak.

It’s alleged the second man was picked up in a third stolen Holden commodore sedan.

The Holden sedan was involved in numerous minor collisions with civilian vehicles on the Burke Road on ramp to the Monash Freeway.

No one was injured during the incident.

It was recovered on Hillside Road, Mount Waverley and two men were arrested a short distance away about 4.45pm.

All three men are currently in custody, assisting police with their enquiries.
