Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating an aggravated burglary in Sunshine West last month.
It is understood two male offenders entered a house about 9.30am on 15 May.
A man was working inside the property at the time of the incident.
Police were told the two offenders assaulted him, before stealing his wallet and phone.
He sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators have released images of two men they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
One of the men is described as being of medium build with dark brown hair and facial hair.
He was wearing black pants, black and white trainers and a black jacket with the hood up.
The other man, of a larger build, was wearing black pants, a black top, white trainers and a black hat and face covering.
