Gold Coast, Australia – 17 June, 2024

The Heart of Health and Disability Conference and Awards (HOHAD) is excited to announce the 2024 Heart of Health and Disability Conference and Awards, set to take place on 18 July 2024 at The Sharks Event Centre, Gold Coast.

The 2024 Heart of Health and Disability Conference and Awards features three events over two days:

  • A networking evening on 17 July 2024: a unique opportunity for allied health and NDIS professionals to connect, share experiences, and build meaningful relationships. This informal setting aims to foster collaboration and support among attendees, creating a strong sense of community.
  • A full-day conference on 18 July 2024: Burnout has become an accepted norm amongst allied health and NDIS professionals. HOHAD is changing this narrative, providing attendees with insights and practical strategies to equip health and disability professionals with the tools they need to combat burnout and excel in their careers.
  • The event’s highlight is the awards gala on 18 July 2024, where 90 outstanding individuals and businesses in the allied health and disability sectors will be honoured for their exceptional contributions. These awards recognise those who go above and beyond to make a positive impact on the lives of others and set a high standard for the industry.

“HOHAD is committed to changing the narrative around burnout in the allied health and disability sectors,” said Karina Follent, Founder of HOHAD. “Our conference and awards provide a platform to recognise the incredible work being done by professionals in these fields and to promote practices that enhance their well-being and effectiveness. We believe that celebrating excellence and fostering a supportive community can drive positive change and improve access to quality services for all Australians.”
