Appeal: Serious crash, Sunshine Coast

The Sunshine Coast Forensic Crash Unit (FCU) are appealing for public assistance following a serious two-vehicle crash in the Sunshine Coast yesterday afternoon, June 24.

Preliminary information indicates around 5.30pm, a green Moto Guzzi motorcycle and a black Toyota Corolla travelling southbound on the Sunshine Motorway had collided near the Mooloolaba off-ramp.

The motorcycle rider, a 68-year-old Mooloolah Valley man, was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Corolla, a 21-year-old Maroochydore woman, was not physically injured.

Investigators are appealing for any witnesses or any one with dashcam vision from the area to come forward.

FCU investigations are continuing.
