Applications Now Open For Tasmanian Export Awards

Jeremy Rockliff,

Tasmanian businesses are now invited to enter the 2024 Tasmanian Export Awards.

This year’s event includes a grant of up to $10,000 for the Tasmanian Exporter of the Year to undertake approved trade activities on offer.

Premier and Minister for Trade and Major Investment, Jeremy Rockliff, said supporting Tasmanian businesses to attend trade shows and events in international markets has so many benefits.

“We are working hard with our businesses to help them tell their stories to the world and boost trade through our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania’s Future, and I know the Tasmanian Exporter of the Year winner will relish in the opportunity to access new markets through this grant,” Premier Rockliff said.

“The awards celebrate the tremendous achievements of our exporters and showcase the people and businesses that are taking our Tasmanian-made products to the world.”

The Tasmanian Export Awards recognises 13 national and two state-based categories. The two state-based categories are the Tasmanian Defence Industries Exporter of the Year and the state’s top award of Tasmanian Exporter of the Year.

“These awards are a well-deserved tribute to the incredible hard work of our exporters, and I encourage all Tasmanian exporters to apply,” Premier Rockliff said.

Winners will be announced at a gala awards event in Devonport on Friday, 18 October 2024, and will travel to Canberra as finalists in the Australian Export Awards in November 2024.

Applications for the 2024 Tasmanian Export Awards are open until Friday, June 14. Applications must be submitted via the application portal on the Australian Export Awards website.

Applications close on Friday, 14 June 2024.
