Ashurst appoints Arnaud Julien as Luxembourg office managing partner

Global law firm Ashurst announces that Arnaud Julien has been appointed managing partner of the Luxembourg office.

Arnaud is a partner in our investment funds practice. He joined the firm in 2021, and specialises in advising domestic and international clients including fund managers, credit institutions, investors and service providers on all types of alternative investment funds, UCITS funds, asset managers and corporate entities.

Commenting on his appointment, Arnaud said, “I am honoured to be appointed as office managing partner and I am looking forward to further developing and expanding our office together with the other Luxembourg partners. We have experienced strong growth in the last few years, with a number of strategic hires and promotions across our priority areas of focus. This includes the recent appointments of Alexandra Clouté in the tax team and Jean-Philippe Smeets in the corporate team, and elevation of Katia Fettes to the partnership. These investments, alongside the strategic input of my fellow partners Isabelle Lentz, Antonios Nezeritis and Fabien Debroise, and solid pipeline of client mandates, have helped us to further enhance our strong presence in the market, and expand our offering in the Grand Duchy.”

Arnaud also thanked Antonios for his service during his term in office. “On behalf of the Luxembourg office, I would like to thank Antonios for his dedication and leadership over the last few years. Luxembourg is a key regional and international hub for investment funds and banks alike, and we look forward to continuing to build on the strength of our offering and to delivering for our people and our clients.”

Opened in 2018, Ashurst’s Luxembourg office advises clients on all types of domestic and cross-border projects. The team is well established and are widely known for their corporate, funds, private equity, tax, restructuring and insolvency, regulatory and banking capabilities.
