Camillo Armed Home Burglary

Armadale Detectives are seeking information regarding an incident that occurred in Camillo during the early hours of this morning, 29 June 2024.

It will be alleged about 3.30am, two males, one armed with a knife and one with a firearm, forced entry into a home on Natasha Way and threatened the three occupants before stealing some items.

The offenders stole a Ford Falcon sedan and left the area. It will also be alleged the stolen vehicle was sighted by police about 3.50am in Thornlie and failed to stop. Police followed the vehicle and a short time later the vehicle stopped on Greenway Ave, in Thornlie. The male occupant of the vehicle fled on foot before being apprehended and taken into custody.

The firearm believed to have been used during this incident was located on Clancy Way in Thornlie and has been seized by police.

A 31-year-old man from Bassendean has been charged with:-

• Aggravated Home Burglary and Commit;

• Aggravated Armed Robbery;

• Steal Motor Vehicle;

• Reckless Driving to Escape Pursuit by Police;

• Driver of a Vehicle Failed to Comply with a Direction to Stop (circumstance of aggravation); and

• No Authority to Drive – suspended.

He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court (Northbridge) tomorrow, Sunday 30 June 2024.
