Wurrumiyanga Police have arrested a 19-year-old male in relation to an incident which occurred on Sunday, 20 January.
Around 5:00pm police received information that a man was walking around the community and threatening people with a weapon.
Whilst en route to the location police were flagged down by a member of the public who advised that the male had smashed a car window and was armed with weapons.
Police then observed the male and directed him to drop his weapons. He complied and was taken into custody.
He has been charged with:
- Damage to Property
- Disorderly Behaviour in Police Station
- Going Armed in Public
He was remanded in custody to appear in Wurrumiyanga Local Court today.
