Community invited to have their say on the Wodonga Creek Activation Project

Following the adoption of the Budget 2024 – 2025 in June, planning has commenced on the Wodonga Creek Activation Project and the community is encouraged to have their say to guide the development of the initial concept design.

This project proposes development along Wodonga Creek which will link to the Wodonga pathway network and connect the creek, Wodonga’s Central Business Area (CBA), Belvoir Park and Gateway Island to Albury.

This proposal will also expand river access along the creek, with the community invited to have their input on how the area could be used.

Three key activity zones have been identified within the Wodonga Creek precinct – Stock Route Reserve (south), Stock Route Reserve (north) and Diamond Park.

Through the Make Wodonga Yours website, community members are able to give feedback on how they’d use the different activity zones and provide ideas on how to activate them.

Whether it’s water access, paddling and swimming areas, seating and viewing locations, fishing platforms or picnic tables, this is your chance to have your say.

Consultation on the Wodonga Creek Activation Project is open until 5pm, July 16 2024.

Please note: While we would love to include absolutely everything in the concept design, there are constraints and limitations. The project has a limited budget (council contribution and Albury Wodonga Regional Partnership Projects funding) and construction costs must be taken into consideration. In addition, the final design will require external approval from a number of organisations and this may impact what is included.
