Jaek Passier has this week been announced as the new Water and Waster General Manager at Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC).
TRC CEO Brian Pidgeon said Mr Passier had been acting in the role for several months and had been appointed in the role following a nationwide competitive recruitment process.
“Jaek has proven himself to be a valuable member of our organisation who is focused on creating a highly skilled and engaged team,” Mr Pidgeon said.
“Previously the Manager of Strategic Water Planning and Capital Delivery, Jaek has worked his way up through the organisation.
“He has more than 18 years of experience in the water and waste sectors and 20 years in local government, in addition to extensive experience on a wide range of highly regulated major projects and risk environments.
“On behalf of Council, I wish Jaek every success in the role as General Manager and our Executive Management Team looks forward to working alongside him over the coming years.”
