Neither the Mayor nor Council have been contacted by any integrity agency nor been made aware of any formal complaint made in regard to the appointment of the interim CEO.
Legal advice and advice of the acting CEO (at the time) was sought in the making of the interim CEO appointment to ensure all processes were adhered to and this advice was followed to the letter.
The appointment of the interim CEO was made with the support of the majority of councillors, following a recruitment process undertaken by an independent recruiter.
