Motorists driving from Waipukurau to Hastings on State Highway 2 should exercise extreme caution.
Emergency services were alerted to a diesel spill at the intersection of Peel Street and Herbert Street (SH2), Waipukurau, around 8.15am.
Motorists are advised to take extra care in the area.
