Expanding services for veterans’ and their families’ in Tasmania

Veterans and families in Tasmania’s north west will now have better access to services and support following the opening of the Burnie Veterans’ and Families’ Centre.

Established by the North West Tasmanian Veteran Welfare Board, this specialised Hub will provide a range of services with a particular focus on health and wellness support, facilitated by general practitioners on site.

The Hub will also take its services on the road, operating a mobile outreach clinic for veterans living all over the north and north west of the state.

The Hub is open to all current and former Australian Defence Force (ADF) members, including reservists, and their families.

The Burnie Veterans’ and Families Centre was made possible through a $2.2 million grant from the Albanese Government, part of national Veterans’ and Families Hub program.
