Fatal motorcycle crash – Chester Hill

A motorcyclist has died following a crash in Sydney’s south-west last night.

About 6pm (Tuesday 14 May 2024), emergency services were called to Hector Street, Chester Hill, following reports a Kawasaki motorcycle and a Mazda 6 had collided, ejecting the rider.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the motorcycle rider, a 19-year-old man; however, he died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.

The Mazda driver, a 64-year-old man, was not injured. He was taken to Bankstown Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command established a crime scene which was examined by specialist officers attached to the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit.

An investigation is underway into the circumstances surrounding the crash and a report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
