Frame ‘your Barossa’ In 2025 Barossa Calendar Competition

Barossa Council

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Barossa Visitor Centre’s Calendar Competition, a showcase of the region’s beauty as seen through the lens of

talented photographers.

Since its inception, the competition has drawn entrants representing a broad range of skill levels who have cleverly captured their unique perspective of the

area’s natural landscapes and cultural treasures with a click.

“We are thrilled to commemorate a decade of creativity with the 2025 Barossa Calendar Competition,” said The Barossa Council’s Manager Tourism Services, Jo Seabrook.

Over the years, we have witnessed some amazing submissions that capture the essence and diversity of the Barossa region, from our delicious food and wine to our colourful history, lively festivals and stunning scenery.

“As a visitor you may have taken a snapshot on a trip to the region, or a local who has found a frame that expresses your own backyard, and we’d love to see what you’ve seen! This competition is the perfect chance to share your talents and eye for detail. Who knows? Your image may earn a place in our anniversary edition!”

Finalists’ work will be showcased throughout August as part of a SALA exhibition hosted by the Barossa Visitor Centre during which the public is invited to cast their vote for “People’s Choice”.

The photographer with the most votes not only claims a prestigious victory, they also win their choice of either a Barossa Experience voucher or Barossa Made Wares & Food Pantry voucher valued at $250.

Making a submission is easy. Upload your photos to either Instagram or Facebook and tag @mybarossa plus use the hashtag #2025barossacalendar. Or simply go back through your social media account and find those photographic gems and edit your post to include the tags.

Photos must be able to be supplied at a high resolution (300 dpi). The Calendar will most likely be printed in landscape format, please take this into consideration when submitting your photos.

Accounts on Instagram must be set to public to be eligible. Photos on Facebook must be set to public audience.

Competition entries close at 5pm on Sunday 7 of July.

The 2025 calendar will be available for sale through the Barossa Visitor Centre from September, when the photographic exhibition relocates to Barossa Regional Gallery for all to admire.
