Further Appeal After Wakeley Riot – Strike Force Dribs

Strike Force investigators have released images of an additional nine people they believe can assist with the ongoing investigation into the public order incident at Wakeley last month.

Strike Force Dribs was established to investigate the violent incidents outside a Wakeley church on Monday 15 April 2024, following the alleged attack of a 53-year-old religious leader.

To date, 14 men have been charged over their alleged involvement in the incident. All 14 men remain before the courts.

Strike Force Dribs Commander, Superintendent Andrew Evans said while there were a large number of people involved in the violent incident, these particular individuals are being targeted by detectives due to the hostile and aggressive nature of their actions.

“I take this opportunity to thank the community for the assistance they have provided us to date, as this information has led detectives to identifying people not previously known to police,” Superintendent Evans said.

“However, we are once again appealing for public assistance to identify these nine individuals, as someone in the community knows who they are.”
