Halli Thorleifsson announced as 2020 Pause Fest guest speaker

The City of Ballarat welcomes creative genius Haraldur (Halli) Thorleifsson as the 2020 Pause Fest guest speaker.

Halli started Ueno, a full-service creative agency, as a one-man operation out of his Reykjavik apartment in 2014.

Five years later, it has more than 65 employees, offices in Reykjavik, San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles, and clients including Airbnb, Apple, Dropbox, Facebook, Fitbit, Google, Lonely Planet, Red Bull, Samsung and Uber.

Halli has won several industry accolades, including numerous Webby’s, which are awards for excellence on the internet, multiple AWWWARDS, which recognise excellence in web design, and the Favourite Web Awards Site of the Day.

Halli will expand minds and challenge ideas, spark creativity and blow assumptions out of the water.

Pause Fest is one of the world’s leading festivals for business and creativity. Over 10 years, the event has created a culture for the brightest of creators and innovators to come together and share their projects, knowledge, passions and insights.

Halli will help you to discover the essence of a business or a product and builds on that, which is similar to the concepts behind the City of Ballarat’s Ballarat is Open Strategy and building on what makes Ballarat unique.

In 2019, the City of Ballarat hosted the inaugural Pause Fest Regional Ambassador Program event and the only event to be held outside Melbourne,  with Head of Creative at Amazon Advertising US Cecilia Ambrose as guest speaker.

This year’s event will be held on Monday 3 February. Ticket sales open on Monday 6 January at 8.30am via this link.
