Today we saw three new rear load garbage bin collection vehicles hit the streets as part of a new street bin collection contact with Western Refuse. Although they are shiny now, we can’t wait to get them dirty as they drive around emptying the 1,200 street litter bins across the City of PAE! Packed full of technology, they have GPS to help locate all of the bins, and each truck has four on board cameras to assist the drivers. Each truck is also custom fitted with a high pressure cleaner which means drivers can stop and give the bins a thorough clean when they need it. All this means huge improvements in how we manage, empty and maintain street litter bins around the city.
