Plenty of family fun for residents and visitors during the school holidays

Come and enjoy an exciting range of school holiday activities with Stars on Ice’s pop-up mobile ice skating rink in Hargreaves Mall and Electric Wonderland in Rosalind Park, both opening tomorrow.

City Manager Tourism and Major Events Terry Karamaloudis said there were lots of fun and exciting activities to entertain residents and visitors of all ages during the winter school holidays.

“Get your skates on for the ice rink in Hargreaves Mall and glide on 130mm of thick ice for a school holiday experience with a difference,” Mr Karamaloudis said.

“Stars on Ice have skates for all sizes and push along penguins for novices so everyone can have a go. Book your sessions so you don’t miss out on this unique experience in the Mall.

“After dark, head to Rosalind Park and be immersed in Electric Wonderland which has become a must-see attraction for Bendigo that is reimagined each year to the delight of residents and visitors.

“This year, be mesmerised by large scale illuminated sculptures, a stunning 40m replica of Sacred Heart Cathedral, a magical garden, interactive pathways, a fantastic laser show to explore and much more.

“Produced by a local company audio-visual specialist Power AV, Electric Wonderland is a paid ticketed event. You are encouraged to plan and book online to enjoy this superb night activation. Don’t miss out as this event in the park will only run during the school holidays.

“While you’re out in the city centre with family or friends, this is also an opportunity to support local hospitality and retail businesses before or after events if you can.”
