Fawkner Divisional Response Unit officers are investigating criminal damage to a commercial building in Niddrie earlier this month.
It is believed five unknown offenders attended a building on Keilor Road about 4.30am on 15 May and covered the front of the building with red paint.
Officers were told the offenders then climbed the roof and spray-painted further graffiti.
The group fled the scene prior to police arrival.
Investigators have released images and CCTV of people they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
