Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash in Braybrook this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to reports a car had crashed into a tree on Ballarat Road about 1.05pm.
The driver of the vehicle died at the scene and is yet to be formally identified.
Both passengers were taken to hospital with critical injures.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
Police ask anyone travelling westbound on Ballart Road to avoid the area.
