Police Arrest Man For Outstanding Warrants – Monaro

A man will face court today after being extradited from Canberra for outstanding warrants relating to reckless wounding and stalking.

Following inquiries, about 4.45pm yesterday (Tuesday 21 May 2024), officers attached to Monaro Regional Enforcement Squad arrested the man in a carpark on the corner of Collie and Newcastle St, Fyshwick in the ACT.

Officers attached to ACT Police conveyed the 33-year-old man to the Canberra Watch House.

The man appeared in ACT Magistrates Court today (Wednesday 22 May 2024), where NSW Police officers applied for his extradition, which was subsequently granted.

He was escorted to Queanbeyan Police Station where the two outstanding warrants relating to reckless wounding, assault (DV), and two counts of stalking (DV) were executed.

The South Gundagai man was refused bail to appear in Cooma Local Court today (Wednesday 22 May 2024).
