Police Charge Man Over Armed Robbery At Guildford

A man will face court following an armed robbery in Sydney’s west.

On Sunday (30 June 2024), officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command commenced an investigation into an alleged armed robbery at a service station on Rawson Road, Guildford.

It is alleged two unknown men entered the shop and one of them – armed with a knife – demanded cash to the 23-year-old male employee before fleeing the scene with an amount of cash in a black Honda sedan.

Following inquiries, officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command, with assistance of South West Metropolitan Operations Support Group, arrested a 39-year-old man at a Woodpark property, about 5pm yesterday (Monday 1 July 2024).

During the search at the premises, police seized an amount of cannabis, cash, and electric devices at the premises.

He was taken to Granville Police Station where he was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon and contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Tuesday 2 July 2024).
