Police Charge Man With Commercial Drug Supply At Temora

A man has been charged with commercial drug supply in the State’s South.

About 11am on Tuesday 18 June 2024, officers attached to Riverina Traffic and Highway Patrol were conducting random breath testing on the Burley Griffin Way, when they pulled over a Kia Carnival.

The driver allegedly returned a positive drug test and was arrested and conveyed to Temora Police Station for a secondary test, with results awaiting testing.

Police searched the vehicle and allegedly located five storage bags, containing vacuum seal bags allegedly containing 496.5 grams of cannabis – weighing 49.65 kilograms. Police also seized close to $5000 in cash.

The 50-year-old man was charged with Supply Prohibited Drug >= Commercial Quantity and deal with proceeds of crime.

He appeared before Wagga Wagga Local court yesterday ( Wednesday 19 June 2024) where he was refused bail to reappear before Cootamundra Local Court on Monday 19 August 2024.
