Police Charge Three Over Property Offences At Taree

Two men and a woman have been charged over alleged property offences following an investigation by officers attached to Manning/Great Lakes Police District.

On Saturday 29 June 2024, police attended a home on Stevenson Street, Taree, following reports of an alleged break and enter.

Investigations into the incident commenced and following inquiries, police executed search warrants at two Taree properties on Railway Parade and Talawong Drive yesterday (Wednesday 3 July 2024).

During the search, police allegedly located and seized several items believed to have been stolen from the break and enter.

A 30-year-old man was arrested at the Railway Road property, while a 34-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman were arrested at the Talawong Drive property. All three were taken to Taree Police Station.

The younger man was charged with goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen.

He was granted conditional bail and will appear at Taree Local Court on Tuesday 6 August 2024.

The older man was charged with dispose property-theft=serious indictable offence and enter dwelling with intent (steal) and breach of bail.

He was refused bail to appear Taree Local Court on Thursday 11 July 2024.

The woman was charged with possess drug (not cannabis leaf/MDMA) not exceed small quantity, and goods suspected stolen in/on premises (not m/v).

She was granted conditional bail to appear at Taree Local Court on Tuesday 6 August 2024.
