Homicide Squad detectives are investigating following the death of a man in Broadmeadows this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to a property on Warnock Street about 2pm.
The man, who is yet to be formally identified, was located deceased outside the property.
A 42-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested at the scene.
He is assisting police with their enquiries.
Investigators believe the parties are known to each other.
The exact circumstances are yet to be determined and investigations are ongoing.
