Police Investigating Hit And Run in Golden Beach, QLD

Police have arrested a 28-year-old Caboolture man after a hit and run and subsequent negotiations in Golden Beach this morning, July 1.

Police were initially called to reports a stolen Ford Ranger had crashed into a house on Anning Avenue, Golden Beach around 5.35am.

That car was allegedly stolen from a Wurtulla address this morning.

No one was injured during the crash, however the dwelling and a vehicle parked at the residence were damaged.

The driver fled the scene but was located in the Pumicestone Passage, swimming towards Pelican Waters.

The man then climbed into a boat, and then a second boat, where he made threats.

Specialist police engaged with the man and arrested him without incident.

Investigations are ongoing.
