Police Make Arrest – Domestic Violence In Katherine 28 June

Northern Territory Police have arrested a man in relation to a domestic violence incident that occurred in Katherine overnight.

Around 10:30pm, police received reports of domestic violence occurring at a residence in Katherine East. A man allegedly caused significant damage to the residence before threatening a woman and 3 children and leaving the scene in a Toyota Troop Carrier.

A short time later, police received reports of the Toyota Troop Carrier ramming the front doors to the Katherine Court House.

A 30-year-old man was later arrested with charges expected to follow.

Police believe the man and woman are known to each other.
