Police Responding To Serious Traffic Crash At Pimpama 30 June

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a single-vehicle traffic crash at Pimpama earlier this morning.

Initial investigations indicate just before 1am, a Holden Commodore was travelling west along William Boulevard when it mounted a roundabout before colliding with a retaining wall.

A 19-year-old male passenger from Pimpama, was treated at the scene before being transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.

Another passenger, a 20-year-old female from Western Australia, was also transported to Gold Coast University Hospital with suspected spinal injuries.

The driver, an 18-year-old male from Coomera, was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital for assessment and is assisting police with their investigation.

Two other passengers, an 18-year-old female from Ormeau and 19-year-old male from Coomera, were assessed at the scene by paramedics.

Witnesses or anyone with information, including dashcam footage of the vehicle, is urged to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
