Police Seek Information: Armed Robbery At Port Douglas

Police are seeking public assistance to identify a man who may be able to help investigations into an armed robbery at Port Douglas this morning.

Initial investigations indicate that around 8:15am, a man entered a business on Port Douglas Road and threatened an employee with a knife.

The man then left the scene with a quantity of cash in a dark green Ford Falcon, without registration plates.

The man and the vehicle were last seen in Mareeba around 10:50am.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as approximately 6ft, heavy build, wearing a black hoodie and sunglasses.

Anyone with information that might be able to assist this investigation is urged to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
