Police Seek Information On Aggravated Assault In Darwin 20 May

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to an aggravated assault that occurred early this morning.

Around 12:30am, police received reports of a group of male youths attending a youth care centre in Karama where they allegedly attempted to gain entry to the residence in search of another male.

A 34-year-old male employee confronted the youths at the front of the property before they allegedly assaulted him with an edged weapon. As a result of the strike the worker received a small laceration to the arm that did not require treatment.

The group then damaged the employee’s vehicle before fleeing the scene on foot.

Police urge anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident to make contact on 131 444 and quote number P24136465.
