Northern Territory Police are calling for information after an aggravated assault occurred overnight.
Around 9:30pm, police received reports of a woman assaulting a man on Binet Court, Malak, with an edged weapon to the head.
The man then armed himself and was attempting to assault the woman before the woman fled the scene.
St John Ambulance attended and the victim was conveyed to hospital.
It is believed both the man and woman are known to each other.
The offender has since been located and remains in police custody.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to make contact on 131 444.
