Police Update 2: Fatal Traffic Crash in Wacol, QLD

A 28-year-old Goodna man has been charged following a fatal traffic crash in Wacol on May 28.

It will be alleged around 2.15am, a Ford Mondeo and Toyota Camry crashed at the intersection of Boundary Road and Progress Road.

The male passenger of the Toyota Camry, a 30-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Ford Mondeo, the 28-year-old Goodna man, allegedly left the scene prior to police arrival.

He presented himself to Acacia Ridge police station last night (June 3) and was taken into custody without incident.

The 28-year-old man has been charged with one count each of murder, dangerous operation of a vehicle causing grievous bodily harm, driving whilst disqualified, possess property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and two counts each of possessing dangerous drugs, receiving tainted property and stealing.

He is due before Brisbane Magistrates Court on June 5.
