Detectives have charged a man and a woman following investigations into an attempted murder at Chinchilla in December 2023.
Police will allege that just before 1:30pm on December 5, multiple people attended a Rodger Street address where a confrontation took place with a 36-year-old male resident.
During this altercation, the male resident sustained a gunshot wound to his neck, with the offenders fleeing the address in a silver utility vehicle, which was later located in northern New South Wales.
Following extensive investigations, a 23-year-old Dalby man charged on June 14 with one count each of attempted murder, armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, receiving tainted property, and unlicensed driving. Two counts of evade police, three counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and five counts of enter and commit.
He is due to appear in Dalby Magistrates Court today, July 2.
Around 3.30pm on Sunday June 31, it will be alleged that officers attempted to intercept a stolen vehicle on Broadwater Road in Dalby before it allegedly evaded police and attempted to flee the area.
The vehicle was tracked for a period of time before a 25-year-old woman and 18-year-old man were taken into custody on the Moonie Highway.
The vehicle was allegedly stolen from a Wood Street address on June 19.
The 25-year-old Dalby woman has since been charged with one count each of attempted murder, attempted armed robbery, armed robbery, dangerous operation of a vehicle, evade police, driving a motor vehicle whilst unlicensed, and two counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle.
She was remanded in custody and is due to reappear before Dalby Magistrates Court on August 19.
The passenger in the stolen vehicle, an 18-year-old Dalby man, was charged with one count each of unlawful possession of a motor vehicle, enter dwelling and commit, and enter premises and commit indictable offence by break.
