Christmas cheer was certainly felt, and heard today at the Queensland Police Service (QPS) Christmas concert.
QPS kicked off the celebrations at the Queen Street Mall stage where concertgoers danced and sang along to the Queensland Police Pipes and Drums, Melody in Blue and Band of Blue, and were also joined by QPS mascots.
The Christmas concert is an annual event and is a time for the QPS to give back to the community by spreading Christmas cheer.
This free family event will continue running for the next two days from midday to 2pm, to ensure all mums, dads and kids from all over Brisbane get the chance to visit and sing along to the Christmas carols.

Inspector Les Bulluss from the Community Engagement Group said he was delighted to participate in today’s event that gave community members an opportunity to come together and share in musical delights and Christmas cheer.

“Events such as today’s Christmas concert allow us to come together and continue to foster great community relationships,” Inspector Bulluss said.
“With the Christmas season upon us, I ask that you be vigilant in looking after one another and prioritise your safety while celebrating the holiday season.”
Senior Sergeant Rob Eley, also from the Community Engagement Group said the QPS musical talent have been working hard leading up to the concert, so it was great to see everyone singing and dancing along with them.
“We want everyone to have a memorable Christmas and enjoy the festive season,” Senior Sergeant Eley said.
“We hope that today’s concert added a little bit of Christmas spirit to everyone’s day.
“On behalf of the QPS, I wish all Queenslanders a merry Christmas.”
