Watch the night skies light up over Surfers Paradise for this year’s SeaFire spectacular!

The SeaFire international fireworks competition has been held annually since 2012 on the shores of Surfers Paradise beach and will be making its return this Saturday 1 June 2024.

“Rug up, pack a picnic and jump on the G:Link to SeaFire this weekend to watch the world’s best pyrotechnics teams battle it out with a spectacular display of colour and lights over the beach,” said Mayor Tom Tate.

“SeaFire is a free family event which attracts thousands of spectators each year.

“It’s an opportunity for family and friends to come together and enjoy an evening out, being captivated by the fireworks display and experiencing the many restaurants and bars in Surfers Paradise.”

Two of the world’s best pyrotechnics teams from Italy and the United Kingdom will compete for the coveted title of SeaFire champions at 6pm and 7pm, with the winner crowned at 7:45pm.

Australia’s leading pyrotechnic team, Skylighter, will close the night with a sensational Aussie fireworks finale at 8pm.

Make a weekend of it with a Staycation or head into Surfers Paradise for an early dinner at one of the many mouth-watering restaurants, from casual eating to fine dining.

Extra G:Link services will be running to Cavill Avenue before and after the event.

If you live nearby, make your journey active and walk, ride, scoot or skate to the event.
