Serious traffic crash in Wynnum West, QLD

Police are investigating a serious traffic crash between a car and an e-scooter in Wynnum West overnight, July 2.

Initial investigations indicate the Hyundai Kona and e-scooter rider crashed at the intersection of Wynnum Road and Network Drive around 6pm.

The 62-year-old male drive of the vehicle was not physically injured.

The 16-year-old male e-scooter rider was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the crash and is appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash or who has relevant vision, to come forward.
