More than 200 members of Community from the NSW South Coast visited Moruya on Thursday 23 May for a free fresh food pop-up event delivered by Aboriginal Affairs NSW in partnership with Foodbank NSW and ACT.

More than 5.5 tonnes of fresh fruit and vegetables straight from the market in Sydney was collected in just a few hours by mob from across the region including the communities of Bodalla, Narooma, Mogo, Batemans Bay and Moruya.

Aboriginal Affairs NSW also partnered with the Southern NSW Local Health District to offer free flu shots for Community, along with a barbeque and coffee van.

Similar events have also been held by Aboriginal Affairs NSW in partnership with Foodbank NSW and ACT throughout this year including fresh food pop-ups in Narrabri, Ballina and Coonamble.
