Teenager Charged Over Robbery At Orange

Two teenagers will be dealt with under Young Offenders Act and one was charged over a robbery in Orange area.

Just after 6pm on Tuesday (25 June 2024), police were called to Byng Street, Orange, following reports of a robbery.

On arrival, officers attached to Central West Police District spoke to a 15-year-old boy with minor injuries.

Police commenced inquiries into the incident.

Following initial inquiries, on Tuesday (25 June 2024), officers attended two addresses in Orange to speak to two male teenagers – aged 13 and 11 – who they believe can assist with inquiries.

The two boys were not arrested but, to be dealt with under Young Offenders Act.

Following further inquiries, about 2pm on Wednesday (26 June 2024), police arrested a 11-year-old boy in Orange area.

He was taken to Orange Police Station where he was charged with robbery in company.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Children’s Court on Thursday (11 July 2024).
