Police are investigating thefts of electrical items in Scoresby and Clayton last month.
It is understood a man attended a business on Dalmore Drive in Scoresby about 6.45am on 27 April.
Investigators were told he stole four industrial air conditioners valued at approximately $7000.
The man fled the scene in a white Toyota Hilux.
A short time later, a man attended a business on Garden Road in Clayton and stole another four industrial air conditioners valued at approx. $7000.
Police have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
He is described as being of medium build with short black hair.
The man was seen wearing an orange hi-vis shirt, blue shorts and dark glasses.
