The development of the new grandstand at the Canowindra Sports Oval included new spectator undercover seating accommodating 210 people; two change rooms with four showers and two toilets in each; a female toilet including four cubicles; a male toilet including two toilets and a urinal; a unisex/disabled/baby changeroom; a referee’s room with an additional shower, toilet and a new canteen/bar.
Numerous local user groups were involved in the design and the proposal in the hope it would benefit the local sporting community, allow for more games, bigger crowds and support women in sport.
The project was funded by the NSW Government’s Resources for Regions Program.
