Two men arrested on warrants in relation to domestic violence offences – South Coast

Two men – wanted on outstanding warrants – have been arrested on the state’s South Coast.

Officers from the Southern Domestic Violence High Risk Offender team have been conducting inquiries to locate two men, aged 31 and 47, wanted for outstanding warrants relating to domestic violence offences.

About 6.40am today (Thursday 30 May 2024), officers attached to the Southern Domestic Violence High Risk Offender Team, with assistance from the Southern Operations Support Group, executed a Firearm Prohibitions Order search at a hotel on the Princes Highway, Lake Tabourie, approximately 13km south of Ulladulla.

A motorcycle was seized, which police will allege was stolen from an address in Lake Illawarra.

A 31-year-old man was arrested and taken to Nowra Police Station, where three outstanding warrants were executed relating to intentionally choke etc person without consent (DV), common assault (DV), destroy or damage property

Following inquiries, police executed a search warrant at another unit at the same location.

Small quantities of GBL and methylamphetamine were allegedly seized.

The 47-year-old man was arrested and taken to Nowra Police Station where an outstanding warrant was executed relating to contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (domestic) and fail to appear in accordance with bail acknowledgment.

Both men were refused bail to appear at Nowra Local Court today (Thursday 30 May 2024).
