While the upcoming Council election will take place on Saturday 4 December, MidCoast residents can vote early by attending their nearest pre-polling venue from 22 November 2021.
The details of the 80 candidates who are in 13 groups, along with one individual candidate, can be found on the NSW Electoral Commission website.
For voting on election day, polling venues will be open from 8am to 6pm. Visit the NSW Electoral Commission Find my Electorate webpage to find your nearest venue.
Early voting can be completed at pre-poll venues, by post, and online or by phone. See the NSW Electoral Commission website.
Anyone on the electoral roll can pre-poll vote from 9am to 5pm on Monday 22 November to Saturday 27 November and Monday 29 November to Friday 3 December 2021.
The NSW Electoral Commission will conduct pre-poll voting from the following five venues:
- Manning Uniting Church, 29 Albert Street, Taree
- MidCoast Council Gloucester Council Chamber, Railway Street, Gloucester
- MidCoast Returning Officer’s Office, 4 Breese Parade, Forster
- Tuncurry Memorial Hall, 7 Point Road, Tuncurry
- Tea Gardens District Office, 245 Myall Street, Tea Gardens – This venue is open 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday only
Postal voting applications are now open until Monday 29 November at 5pm. Anyone who applies after this date will not receive a postal vote pack. The deadline for returning postal votes is Friday 17 December at 6pm.

Councillors elected in December will serve a reduced term of 2 years and 8 months after COVID-19 caused the 2020 election to be postponed.
The poll declaration is planned to occur between 21 and 23 December 2021, while the Mayor and Deputy Mayor elections are planned to occur on 12 January 2022.
